Last January 21, I wrote about the Ten Things I Love About VoIP. I was able to come up with eight reasons last time, and they were my personal reasons why I just love VoIP.

Today, I realized that I love VoIP not only because it lets me keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones, I also remembered that I love VoIP because of its business-related functions.

Now for Part 2 of “Ten Things I Love About VoIP.”

9. VoIP has paved the way for allowing business between the East and the West: because of VoIP, outsourcing was made possible, and the tasks that used to bother Western business people can now be sent out to Asian, Latin, and even African countries. This has also helped cut overhead costs, making business and economy healthier for both parties: the Western contractor and the Eastern/etc. workforce.
10. For small business owners, VoIP, through Skype, and now the merger between Skype and Google, have allowed business to flourish in a much larger way than before. Since Google has inked its deal with Skype, there are now greater options for small eBay sellers to ply their wares through eBay’s upcoming click-to-call functionality.

I believe international business wouldn’t have flourished as briskly if not for the beauty of VoIP. Because of VoIP, people from either side of the world can now conduct businesses in a more cost-saving manner, without needing to skip a beat, or be interrupted by a phone line hiccup, thanks to VoIP.

There are so many things to love about VoIP. As I had said often, it has opened worlds and gates to worlds of communication, be it business or personal, and the only question of whether it will push more boundaries is limited only by man’s imagination on how else he can improve VoIP.
