Gizmo Project: Worth a Try

While we are on the subject of telecommunication applications for your computer, and since Gizmo Project was mentioned in the past few entries, I decided to write on Gizmo Project today.

Gizmo Project is one application that is striving to make waves both on the VoIP and the Instant Messaging industry. By advertising and implementing an obscenely low-rate free calling program, aptly named “All Calls Free.” It’s a bonus for the VoIP consumer, and it generates loyalty, IMHO.

Another great feature of GizmoProject is that you can integrate it with your other instant messaging accounts. Because of that, you will be able to use Gizmo’s VoIP services, while being able to chat with other “Windows Live Messenger, AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, GoogleTalk, and Gizmo users.” Continue reading

A Satisfied Skype User Speaks Out

One of my female friends told me that since she stopped listening to the bad press about Skype that she found online and finally gave it a try, she never looked back.

The reason why Skype was so convenient for her starts with the fact that it’s a PayPal/eBay division. Being tied to PayPal, paying for her Skype credits was much easier, and since the day she started buying SkypeOut, she hasn’t had a hitch with Skype payments.

Compare this to her experience with GizmoProject, wherein she had to actually ask for a refund because she couldn’t call out even with credits on her account. Continue reading
